Fereshteh’s (Sadaf Asghari) journey takes us through the layers of Iran’s capital, Tehran, to understand how young people gain the courage and confidence to question traditional ways of life and break away from patriarchy. By portraying complex characters, Ali tells the story through authentic real-life suspense and is able to make the audience feel the urgency and implications of Fereshteh’s situation.
